Cashless Service

Torbay Harbour Authority and Beaches are transitioning to a cashless service across all offices, quaysides, and beaches. This will cover, among other things, visitor charges, launch and recovery, electric, and short-term beach hut hires.

This change will apply from Monday 14^th April. Our goal is to streamline operations, improve the safety of our staff and the service efficiency.

Torquay Rowing Club Thatcher Rock race 2025

On Saturday 17^th May 2025 the Torquay Rowing Club will be staging the Thatcher’s Rock Race at Torquay Harbour.

Up to 10 rowing boats of varying classes will race from Torquay Harbour to Thatcher’s Rock and return. Racing will commence at approximately 09:00 and will be completed by 17:00

Mariners are advised that during this event vessels are not to impede the rowing boats or obstruct them or safety vessels in any way. Safety boats will be monitoring the racing and can be contacted by VHF ch 06 Call sign “Race Control”

During this event the International Regulations for Preventing Collisions at Sea will apply at all times.
