Tor Bay Harbour

Mariners are advised that Paignton Amateur Rowing Club will be conducting gig racing on 15th & 16 August 2026.

Competing gigs will launch and recover from the Paignton Harbour Slipway. The racing course will be located to the north-east and east of Paignton Harbour entrance. Several support craft may also be present in the vicinity of the racing area

During the event, harbour users are requested to:

• Exercise extreme caution when approaching and departing Paignton Harbour.
• Keep well clear of the racing fleet and associated support vessels.
• Utilise the Main Pontoon only whilst using harbour facilities during the event.
• Follow any instructions issued by Harbour staff or event safety personnel.

Mariners are reminded that the International Regulations for Preventing Collisions at Sea (COLREGs) apply at all times and remain responsible for the safe navigation of their vessels.
