Tor Bay Harbour

Mariners are advised that the Royal Torbay Yacht Club (RTYC) will be hosting the Solo Class National Championship from Torquay Harbour between 5th August 2026 and 9th August 2026. Racing will take place in the waters of Tor Bay, with courses being laid using established club racing marks situated in the northern and central areas of the bay, dependent upon prevailing wind conditions.

A large fleet of racing dinghies is expected to be afloat throughout the event period. Support vessels and race management craft will also be operating within the racing area, Keep well clear of the racing fleet and avoid passing through active race courses where practicable.

Mariners are reminded that the International Regulations for Preventing Collisions at Sea (COLREGS) apply at all times during this event and that all vessels remain responsible for complying with the Regulations and taking appropriate action to avoid collisions.
