Works to begin on Monday 5 February 2024. Torbay Council expect this phase of the project to take 18-weeks.

West Of England Rowing Association Championships (WERA)

From 13 August 2022 until 13 August 2022

Torquay Rowing Club will be hosting the WERA Championships on Saturday 13th August.

Racing of fine boats and skiffs will be held over a 1000m course from Livermead Head Torquay in a North Easterly direction to a point off Princess Pier Torquay.

Racing will commence at 11:00 and finish at approximately 15:30. During this time mariners are requested to keep clear of the course at slow speed to minimise wash.

Safety boats will be monitoring VHF channel 10 using call sign “Uncle Bob”.

During this event the International Regulations for Preventing Collisions at Sea will apply at all times.
