Cashless Service

Torbay Harbour Authority and Beaches are transitioning to a cashless service across all offices, quaysides, and beaches. This will cover, among other things, visitor charges, launch and recovery, electric, and short-term beach hut hires.

This change will apply from Monday 14th April. Our goal is to streamline operations, improve the safety of our staff and the service efficiency.

British Long Distance Swimming Association

From 12 July 2025

Mariners are advised that the British Long Distance Swimming Association will be holding a long distance swimming event on Saturday 12th July 2025. Swimming will proceed at around 10:00am from Meadfoot Beach to Fishcombe Cove and back. There will be approximately 40 swimmers, accompanied by 40 kayaks and three safety boats.

 

Mariners are requested to keep clear of swimmers, to take safety instructions from any of the three safety boats, and are reminded that the International Regulations for Prevention of Collisions at Sea will apply at all times during this event.
