From 20 June 2026 until 20 June 2026
Mariners are advised that the Brixham Trawler Event will take place in Tor Bay on Saturday 20 June 2026. This annual event provides an opportunity for the Brixham fishing vessel fleet to showcase their vessels and crews in a celebratory lap of the Bay. The event supports charitable fundraising for the Fishermen’s Mission, and is being run in cooperation with the Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA).
A safety assessment has been undertaken due to the involvement of commercial vessels and crew, and appropriate measures are in place to ensure safe participation.
Mariners should expect increased vessel activity throughout the morning.
The fleet will follow a clockwise rectangular course around Tor Bay. A "gate" will be used for vessels to enter the course. As of 30 April 2026, no large vessels are planned to be moored within the course area.
