Cashless Service

Torbay Harbour Authority and Beaches are transitioning to a cashless service across all offices, quaysides, and beaches. This will cover, among other things, visitor charges, launch and recovery, electric, and short-term beach hut hires.

This change will apply from Monday 14th April. Our goal is to streamline operations, improve the safety of our staff and the service efficiency.

Thank you for your understanding.

From 23 June 2025 until 27 June 2025

The Royal Torbay Yacht Club will be hosting the SQUIB National Championship from Monday 23rd June to Friday 27th June 2025.

There will be approximately 50 sailing dinghies competing in races launching from Torquay Harbour at approximately 10:30 each day. All racing will be completed by 17:00 with the final races finishing on Friday 27th.

The course area will depend on the wind direction and strength on the day but will be set South of Torquay Harbour.

The event will be overseen by the RTYC committee who will be monitoring VHF channel 77 call sign “RACE CONTROL”.

During the event mariners are to keep clear of the course and are reminded that the International Regulations for Preventing Collisions at Sea will apply at all times. The Haldon Pier visitor’s pontoon will be out of use during this event. Any visiting vessels are requested to berth on the Town Dock visitor pontoon.
