Works to begin on Monday 5 February 2024. Torbay Council expect this phase of the project to take 18-weeks.

Optimist End of Season Championships

From 16 October 2021 until 18 October 2021

Torquay Harbour will be hosting the Optimist End of Season Championships on the 16th & 17th October.

This event will involve up to 125 vessels racing in two course areas set to the south of Torquay dependant on daily weather conditions – Main Fleet (81 boats) and Regatta Fleet (24 boats)

Racing will commence at approximately 09:00 and will be completed by 17:00 on each day

Safety Boats will be observing the racing and monitoring VHF Channel 77, call sign Yacht Veto and Channel 72 call sign Emily Faye for communications.   

Mariners are advised to keep clear of this course and be advised that the International Regulations for Prevention of Collisions at Sea will apply at all times
