Vessel Interaction in Tor Bay Harbour

From 24 April 2018 until 01 January 2019

Ships anchored in Tor Bay are frequently engaged in special operations such as diving, taking stores and personnel transfer. On several occasions personnel have been put at risk by vessels ignoring the diving and special operations signals displayed by the ships, dive support vessels, stores boats and personnel launches, or by generally passing too close.

ALL vessels passing ANY ship, at anchor or engaged in special operations should do so at slow speed and keep at least 200 metres clear AT ALL TIMES.

Mariners are advised that, in any event, they should keep well clear of all large vessels/ships that are at anchor or that are manoeuvring in the Bay.
