Background to the Yalberton Road, Paignton: Planning Brief:

The Yalberton Road, Paignton: Planning Brief is a Supplementary Planning Document (SPD) that forms part of the Local Development Framework (LDF). It will provide a framework for the development of an employment park at Yalberton Road, Paignton (also known as Yannon's Farm and Holly Gruit).  The brief will strive to ensure that development is economically viable and contributes to the economic prosperity of Torbay.  At the same time it will aim to minimise the impact on the environment and residential amenity.

Current stage within the planning process:

Following the consultation period for the Issues and Options stage, work is currently underway on the next stage.

Sustainability Appraisal:

It is essential that in deciding on which option is the most appropriate, consideration is given to the sustainability implications of each option. It is for this purpose that a brief sustainability appraisal has been compiled which outlines some of the key sustainability issues associated with each option.
