Working with Children

There's never been a better time to work with children. Good quality education and care makes a real difference to their lives. And thousands more people are needed to work with children and young people aged up to 14 (or up to 16 with Special Educational Needs or disabilities).
It's a caring, challenging career. You'd play a key role, helping them develop their skills, increase in confidence and learn by example - A positive role model, inspiring young minds, get respect for your contribution and responsibility.
Opportunities to work with children and young people are advertised on the ‘Choices’ website. We also advertise in the local Torbay newspaper (Herald Express) on a fortnightly basis. Some jobs are also advertised nationally in professional journals or national newspapers.
