There are several sources of funding for the different parts of the Capital Programme. The process by which the Children’s Services Programme is approved is as follows:
  1. Identify schemes using Asset Management Plan data, any specific funding criteria, local and national policy developments and locally agreed priorities for investment.
  2. Schools submit bids for funding streams where appropriate.
  3. These are scored and prioritised against agreed criteria.
  4. Officers consult with the Property Strategy & Advisory Group (PSAG) and the Lead Member for Children’s Services.
  5. Major schemes are submitted to the Corporate Asset Management Team for consideration and prioritisation within the Council’s overall Capital Plan.
  6. The Children’s Services Programme is incorporated into the Council’s Capital Plan and is considered and approved by Full Council.
