Curledge Street Remodelling
This £2.4m remodelling project began on site in August 2010. It has been back to the designers and planners several times so there has been a slight delay. The ground work and foundations are now in progress. The two-storey block will have 6 new classrooms, 4 on the ground floor and 2 on the second floor, along with a new staff room, a breakout space and toilets. The expected completion date is December 2011.
Oldway Dining Hall Facilities
New dining hall facilities at Oldway Primary are being built to accommodate the increased number of pupils and improve the lunchtime rush. Works began in January 2011 and are due for completion in August 2011 at a cost of £1.2m.
Roselands Remodelling
This project is almost complete. It began in May 2010 and should be complete in June 2011. Final landscaping works are being finished. Four additional classrooms have replaced mobiles. It came within budget of £1.5m.
St Cuthbert Mayne Diploma
Works are progressing well on this £1.8m project. There are 6 additional classrooms to cater for the revised curriculum. It began on site in November 2010 and is due for completion in August 2011.
New 2011/12 projects will include:
Barton Primary remodelling, Mayfield School additional classrooms, Paignton Community & Sports College Diploma and Removal of Mobiles, Preston Primary ASD unit, Westlands School additional classrooms.
