In a world under pressure from man-made environmental contamination, we are dedicated
to making a difference by delivering environmentally-friendly printing solutions.
Not only do our chemistry-free plates eliminate a significant source of toxic emissions
associated with conventional offset printing, our platemaking process does away with the need for film
and its associated environmental impact.
Because our plates are created
directly from a print-ready file that has already been proofed, plates are more likely to be right when
they get to the press.
And when our direct imaging presses are used,
the results are even better. The high level of automation in these presses ensures that the file will
be printed right the first time, and sellable sheets are delivered by the press with fewer sheets of
waste.
| Offset printing operations dispose of tons of obsolete film annually, which ultimately makes its way into landfill disposal sites and which will never decompose. Paper accounts for 40% of landfill solid waste - our direct imaging (DI) presses consume significantly fewer sheets in the make-ready process than conventional offset, meaning less paper waste. |
We
even recycle used plates! A chemistry-free process equals environmental responsibility, while at the
same time reducing costs and improving productivity.
And that’s just paper! A wide range of other chemicals
are used in the conventional platemaking and offset printing process, including chemicals required to
develop film where computer-to-plate technologies have not been adopted.
