Family Group Conferences
A Family Group Conference is where children, parents, relatives and close friends come together to make important decisions about their childrens lives. They are often arranged when plans need to be made to keep children safe from abuse or harm; or decide what should happen if they can no longer live with their parents.
Our Aims
- To fully involve families when important decisions need to be made about their children
- To fully involve children when plans are being made for them
- To give children and families a central and meaningful role in planning and decision making
Requesting a Conference
Families can request a Family Group Conference themselves using the contact details on this page or they can be referred by their social worker.
