On Thursday 18th May 2006, the Tiverton Hotel hosted the annual Devon Sports Awards ceremony. Hosted by Westcountry TV's Mark Tyler, the event attracted over 150 nominations for sports coaches, officials and volunteers across the county.

Paralympic Silver Medallist Darren Westlake was the guest of honour, presenting awards to 31 finalists including 12 category winners and a host of highly commended individuals. The full list of awards can be seen in the table below.

All the individual category winners were considered for the final award of the evening - Outstanding Services to Sport in Devon . For all her commitment, enthusiasm and support to gymnastics in the last 30 years the award was presented to Yvonne Budd.
