Library events are FREE unless otherwise detailed but many require pre-booking to guarantee a place.

Important information for parents and carers about children's events

• It is usually necessary to reserve a place for children's events in advance in order to avoid disappointment. If in doubt, ask at your local library.
• Children under 8 years old must be supervised by a parent/carer at all times.
• Parents or carers collecting children from a library activity must instruct children to stay in the library until collected.

Join Team Read - sign up for the 2008 Summer Reading Challenge

If you're 4 - 12 years old, you can take the challenge to read 6 books over the summer through your local library, receiving a special pack and a set of gifts to collect as you go. If you complete the challenge, you'll get a special certificate and Team Read medal. Pop into your local library to sign up now! And there are loads of things to do with activity sessions throughout August. They're all free, but you need to book ahead (see Related Documents for the evnts leaflets).

Informal, monthly meetings for people who are blind or partially sighted and who enjoy books.
