Winter storage is only available at Paignton Harbour and is charged on length overall.  Vessels having annual facilities at Paignton Harbour are entitled to a 50% concession.  Accommodation is let for the period 1st October to 31st March only, subject to availability.  This charge applies for the whole or any part of the above period and no reduction will be allowed for any lesser period.  Any craft that remains in storage after 31st March may attract a further charge of £1.80 per metre per day inclusive of VAT.

Blocking up and storage is carried out at the owner's risk and the Council does not accept responsibility for any damage, injury or loss which may occur as a result of these operations or during the period of storage on the Council's property.

All owners of craft in winter storage are most strongly urged to take the greatest possible care when working on their craft.  DO NOT attempt to move any shoring around your craft for any reason whatsoever.  If shoring needs to be moved, then contact the Paignton Harbour Office who will be pleased to assist you in making arrangements to safely undertake this operation.  You are reminded that you have a duty of care in respect of your own safety and the safety of others whilst you are working on your vessel.

As part of Tor Bay Harbours continuing Risk Assessment programme, regular inspections are made of the shoring of craft in Winter Storage on the Harbour Estate.  Please help us to keep Tor Bay Harbours as safe as possible.

Uncovered winter storage for vessels is available at four sites in Paignton; North Quay, South Quay, East Quay and West Quay.  Vessels can be hauled out by a nominated contractor or by the owner themselves on trailer.  Vessels having annual facilities at Paignton harbour will be entitled to a 50% concession.  If you are interested in storing your craft at Paignton Harbour please contact the  Harbour Office on Tel: (01803) 557812 or alternatively fill out the relevant Winter Storage application form which is available from the Harbour Office.
