Torquay Harbour - Permanent Berthing Facilities
At Torquay Harbour there are two harbours with boat moorings, the Outer Harbour which has a Town Dock (pontoon berths) and the Inner Harbour which has fore and aft swing moorings.
Outer Harbour - Town Dock
The Town Dock (pontoon berths) offers up to 170 berths ranging from 6m berths upto 13m berths. The wating list for 13m berths and PWC's (Jet Ski's) is currently open. Please be aware that the Town Dock does not offer the same services as a private marina. For more information please contact the Torquay Harbour Office.
Outer Harbour - Commercial Pontoons
There is seperate commercial pontoons within the outer harbour for the berthing of commercial vessels only. Please be aware that there is a waiting list for this facility. Please contact the Torquay Harbour Office for more information.
Inner Harbour
Torquay inner harbour benefits from a cill, which impounds the water at half tide level and provides 175 trot moorings suitable for leisure craft from 4.27 (14’) up to 9.15 metres (30’). Limited moorings are currently available for private leisure vessels up to 22' (6.76m) length overall. For all other size moorings waiting lists apply. Please enquire at the Torquay Harbour Office.

Boat Park Spaces
Torquay harbour's boat park spaces (sailing dinghies) comprise of three different catogories and are all under the control of the Harbour Office for which waiting lists apply.
These comprise of:
- Flying fifteen/Laser SB3 spaces only which are situated on the south side of South Pier
- General spaces for average sized sailing dinghies situated on Beacon Quay. (dinghies upto 18ft LOA only - No catamarans).
- Youth Sailing dinghy rack spaces (helms under 16 years of age)situated on Beacon Quay.
To apply for a space and register on the relevant waiting list please contact the harbour office. Please be aware that boats kept in these spaces may need to be moved by the owners for quayside events or bad weather. For boat park space charges please see the table below.
