For a table of charges for facilities and services provided by Harbour staff please see our Services Page.

Fuelling

There is no fuel outlet in Paignton Harbour, the nearest facilities being Brixham Marina (MDL Marinas)+44 (0)1803 882929 or Riviera Fuel at Torquay Harbour Tel: (07786 370324).

Please note that the fuelling of boats on the quayside is STRICYLY PROHIBITED and the fuelling of boats which are moored in the harbour is ONLY allowed at low water.

Water

Water is on supply from points on North Quay, East Quay and at the head of the East Quay slipway, unfortunately, these locations often prohibit hose extensions to vessels alongside the wall.  For water taken by small vessels in quantities of less than 1 tonne there is no charge other than where a recharge facility exists.  All charges, dues and fees are subject to the appropriate rate of Value Added Tax (17.5%) which is included in the price, except as indicated.

Water Charges - Exclusive of VAT

Up to 50 tonnes£ 2.24 per tonne
50 tonnes and over£ 1.17 per tonne

Electricity

Single point electricity is supplied to both North and East Quays but unfortunately does not extend to visiting vessels.  Electric Cards are available from the harbour office.  Please see the table below for charges.  Electric cards, for electricity only, are available in the following denominations for the respective price (prices listed are inclusive of 5% VAT)..

Electricity Charges

Level 1 Card£ 1.00 each
10 KW Card (available at Brixham only)£ 2.00 each
Level 5 Card£ 5.00 each
50 KW Card (Available at Brixham only)£ 10.00 each
Combined Electricity and Water Token (available at Torquay only)£ 1.00 each

Waste Disposal

There are plenty of waste disposal bins located around the harbour, however, for bulkier loads, Marine Services can supply large capacity ‘wheelie’ bins on request.

For waste oil and any waste batteries or out of date pyrotechnics, please consult first with the Harbour Office to arrange for their safe disposal.

Operators of commercial craft should refer to the Tor Bay Harbour Port Waste Management Plan and if necessary seek further advice on waste disposal from the harbour office.

Car Parking

There is adequate parking available in the adjacent car park (pay and display). However, due to constraints on space on the harbourside, there is NO PARKING permitted on the Paignton harbour estate.

Washing Down

The washing down of vessels and/or running of marine engines on any quayside is prohibited without the express consent of the harbour office on each occasion.

Storage Lockers

Storage lockers are available at Paignton harbour.  For details on availability please contact the Paignton Harbour Superintendant on Tel: 01803 557812.  The charge for a storage locker (subject to availability) is £68.57 per annum inclusive of VAT.

Fishing

Fishing is prohibited (Harbour Bye laws) within any part of Paignton Harbour or from any vessel in the harbour. However, there are plenty of locations to fish to, seaward from the piers.  Please consult the Harbour Office for guidance about these locations, where fishing is welcomed and encouraged.

Falling In

There are various ladders, grab chains and steps located around the harbour for getting out of the water.  Lifebuoys are strategically located around the perimeter to assist in the rescue of a person in the water.

Swimming

Swimming and diving anywhere within Paignton Harbour is strictly prohibited (Harbour Bye laws).
