The RNLI Torbay lifeboat station is situated next to the Breakwater slipway.  The building itself is relatively new being built some 10 years ago to replace the out of date boathouse.  The lifeboat crew use a tender to get out to the lifeboat which is permanently moored on a swinging mooring in the fairway between Brixham Marina and the Breakwater.
