Every year Tor Bay is host to over 25 Maritime Events ranging from the Torbay swim to major Powerboating weekends. Many clubs and organisations choose Tor Bay for their events as it is a prime sheltered location. The Bay is a favourite with tourists and visitors too, as the Maritime Events can be seen from practically anywhere on the Bay's 22 miles of coastline. It almost acts like an amphitheatre with the sea being the stage. 2008 will see more events being staged than previous years as the location is becoming more and more popular due to the facilities and great location.
If you are intending to run an event within the Tor Bay Harbour Limits then there are a few important points to consider. Firstly you are legally bound to inform the Torbay Harbour Authority that you are intending to run a Maritime Event and the starting point for this is to complete one of the forms below and send it to the nearest Harbour Office within Torbay. On this form you will see some important prompts which you will need to meet in order for your event to run safely. Following your submisssion of this form you will then be contacted by the relevant Harbour Office to arrange an initial meeting to discuss your planned Maritime Event further.
