What are the Street Wardens here to do?

We're here to make your neighbourhood cleaner and safer. We want to work with you to deal with the things that matter to you in your community.

Are the Street Wardens police officers?

No but we work in close relationship with the local police officers. Our role is quite different, focussing on engaging the community into making the neighbourhood a more pleasant place to live.

How do they work with the Police Community Support Officers (PCSO)?

In some areas there are both PCSO's and Street Wardens, they exchange information on anti-social behaviour in the area. You may seem them patrol your area together, so ensure you speak with them.

What are the Street Warden's priorities?

  • Public Reassurance
  • Environmental Anti Social Behaviour
  • Community Engagement
