Funding

The council has funding available for energy saving projects. Schools may apply for this funding at any time, have a look at the funding guide below for more detail, or call the Energy Team on 01803 208988 to discuss a project.
Once you have read the guide submit the application form for funding.

Renewable Technologies

If you wish to apply for funding to install renewable technologies at your school such as Solar Panels, Photo-voltaics, Wind turbines, Heat pumps or Biomass boilers, please visit the following links to apply for funding.
Please note that they are looking for the following in particular within your application:
The more evidence you can provide that your school is already working hard to lower it’s energy consumption and carbon emissions, the better chance you have of obtaining funding. Many applications are submitted, so you will need to provide a very good case to be successful. Good luck, and please get in touch with our Energy Team if you need any assistance.

Register your schools interest in funding for renewable solar technology

Before embarking on such a project we ask you to contact the Council and make us aware of your plans either via the property services team on their helpdesk email: propertyserviceshelpdesk@torbay.gov.uk or ringing 01803 208988/ 208966. We can offer advice regarding the suitability for your school, damage avoidance, any current maintenance issues that could be conflicting, planning consents and any other questions / issues that could arise.
If you are interested I would suggest registering your interest before the end of term to ensure you don’t miss out, and contact us if your application develops to the next stage.
