Chaperone Service
Children who perform, which can include TV or filming, theatre, sporting activities or modeling, must be supervised at all times when they are not actually on stage.
Torbay Council has a duty to oversee any matters relating to children who perform and this includes ensuring that suitable matrons or chaperones are employed to look after the welfare of children. Anyone wishing to be a Chaperone must be licensed by the Local Authority and before any Licences are issued Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) checks are carried out, for which there is a nominal fee of £5.50.
Application
If you do not have a recent CRB document then you will need to contact Admissions & Student Services who will send you a CRB disclosure application form along with the chaperone application.
