Going local
A new and easier way for you to access services.
There are many children, young people and families in Torbay who want fast and efficient access to information, or who are in need of some advice and support.
The Cluster Teams can help.
What are Cluster Teams?
The Cluster Teams are multi-agency teams involving children’s services, schools, Connexions, health services and the police. They will respond to local needs and act as the first point of contact to help the many children, young people and families in Torbay.
Cluster Teams are bringing together existing services so that local people can access them through four new locations across the Bay providing a better fit with the needs of the local community. The Cluster Teams are not offering new services, just a different, easier way in which to access them.
The teams will be based within four local schools across the Bay, two in Torquay, at Barton Primary School and Westlands and one each serving Paignton and Brixham, based in Paignton Community and Sports College and Brixham Community College.
How do they work?
Staff within each multi-agency Cluster Team work together to provide you with a fast response. We aim to provide you with a friendly, approachable service that you can access over the phone or by simply dropping in during opening hours.
What services are offered within the Cluster Teams?
How to contact the four teams:
This new approach should ensure that it is easier for you to access services from one point of contact. You can discuss any number of issues at a time, just drop in and ask for information, advice and support from the Cluster Teams.
The four teams can be contacted by phone or alternatively you can drop in during the core opening hours of 2-4pm (Monday to Friday).

Torbay Council's Children's Services and partners celebrated the official launch of the new Cluster Teams in the Bay on Wednesday 17 October when the teams opened their doors to the public.
The official launch took place during Parents Week 2007 in recognition of the contribution the teams make in supporting young people and their families.
