External Funding & Grants

The External Funding section can provide advice on Lottery, European and other sources of funding to local businesses, the community and voluntary sector organisations. The type of service we can offer includes:

Proof reading service for applications and business plans.
Wider feedback and guidance on applications.
Assistance with specific elements of an application – for example linking it to complementary local projects and/or strategies and the provision of statistical support data
Carrying out searches to identify potential sources of funding for other Council Departments and partner organisations including community and voluntary groups.

If you'd like assistance from the TDA in the development of your funding application then let us know about your project idea, so we can help to identify programmes that might be of relevance and help to maximise your chance of success. We will provide support while you develop your project or signpost you to the best people to help you through the application process.

Lottery Funding

Recent reports in 'Lottery Monitor' rank Torbay 43^rd in the South West out of 45 areas for getting hold of this money – so if you are developing a project and your organisation has a funding need, make sure you consider the lottery schemes!

Keeping in touch

To promote the availability and possible uses of external funding we will be producing a newsletter every quarter with up to date information on new grant programmes, changes to existing schemes as well as highlighting particular funds or projects. As it becomes available you will be able to download the newsletter from the website, paper copies will also be available.
