If Torbay Council does not actually hold the information you requested, then we will not be able to supply you with it. If we hold part of the information, we will supply you with that and also either:
- transfer the request to another authority we know holds the rest of the information; and send you a 'refusal notice' stating which information we do not hold
- send you a refusal notice stating which information we do not hold and give you the contact details of any other authority which we know holds the information
- if we do not know who may hold the rest of the information, send you a refusal notice stating which information we do not hold
There are also certain exemptions which may be applied to the information, and if this is the case then the information will not be supplied.
If an exemption applies to the information you have requested, we will let you know and explain our decision for withholding that information.
